Hey I had a look at your artwork today. So, I thought I'd come bother you. Wheel of Smoke, a rockband and also good friends of mine are doing a contest. They need a new logo and they're giving away a 100€ price. It's an international contest.

I thought maybe you'd like to join or already had some artwork you could use for it. You can basically draw anything doesn't really need to be an actual wheel with smoke.

And if you think it won't be good enough or you know nothing of logo design, another band 'Pektop' uses this as logo: [link] which is also kinda just a drawing with the bandname on.

I'm sure there's a big chance you'll win. So, have a look at it already will you?! ^^

Thanks for thinking of me, but I try to stay away from contests like this. It's just not worth my time to put a bunch of work into something that only has a small chance of paying off, and even then, the cash prize is usually far less than what the artist should be paid for such a job. A solid, professional logo that will represent a company/band/whatever and be used in their promotional material, website, merchandising, etc. is something that is worth a LOT more than a mere 100 Euros. I can make 5-6 times that much just doing shirt designs for my regular clients, and I'm very busy with jobs right now, so I can't and shouldn't spend time and effort on something like this. Just wanted to give you an explanation, rather than flat-out ignoring you.
